5 Easy Ways to Use Webinars To Grow Your Business

If you’re like most people, you probably associate using webinars with mainly selling online courses. 

I don’t blame you either. Webinars are perfect for selling your products and courses but you can use them in a ton of different ways. 

They allow you to leverage education to position your program or service. Plus, they convert at much higher rates than video sales letters or sending traffic just to a sales page. But this is where webinars start, not where they end! 

The truth is, webinars can help your business in so many ways besides increasing conversions to your online products or services. We have so many different coaches, consultants, and educators using webinars for a variety of reasons.

5 Ways to Use Webinars In Your Business

1. Fulfilling Group Coaching Programs

Let’s say you run an 8 to 10-week group coaching program. Maybe you charged them something like $3,000 – $5,000 to get more access to your knowledge in a more intimate setting.

Instead, you want to teach and sell during the webinar as it creates the best user experience. The more you run webinars, the more you will find your flow and be able to do both.

Remember, effective webinar content should talk about their problems, kills potential objections, and educate without over-delivering. The content should teach your audience what to want.

3. Onboarding Clients for Membership Sites

Let’s say you have a membership program where students pay you each month on a recurring basis. In this case, use a webinar as part of your onboarding process. Once they enroll, you can educate them with a webinar and get a quick win early in their experience working with you. 

This creates a great first impression for new students and is more likely to be your client for the long-term! If you’re a membership site owner, you know the importance of client retention as a crucial metric in your business. 

4. Recording More Epic Content and Interviews

Another great way to use a webinar is for interviews with professionals in your industry. You can use webinars to record an expert type series of interviews. This works great for adding to a bonus section of your online course or as content for your membership site. 

Not to mention, you can also use these interviews as more free content to drive leads. When you invite an industry influencer or specialized guest to your webinar, it allows your audience to learn from another like-minded individual. Plus, they are usually more than happy to help leverage their audience to drive attendees if it’s a live event.

By bringing on an industry expert, it will position you as an expert, since that person is associating their name with your brand. Don’t be surprised if it increases excitement with your audience, attendance rates, and social media sharing as well.

Lastly, doing an interview series is a great way to expose yourself and your business to a whole new audience, generate new leads, and leave a great first impression in the process. Plus, you can easily repurpose the webinar for a podcast, YouTube or social media clips.

5. Running Online Summits

The final way to use webinars beyond selling courses is to run online summits. A virtual summit is a type of collaborative online event in which speakers are interviewed by a host. You can act as the host and interview several experts on a specific topic.

This is different from an expert interview series as you would interview 5-20 experts for a shorter amount of time. Virtual summits are an effective way to build your email list, potentially educate thousands of prospective clients and very cost-effective. Unlike a physical, in-person event, all you need is your normal webinar gear to get started.  

How to Use Webinars in Your Business Summary

As you can tell, I love webinars because they are truly unlike any other platform. If used correctly, you can keep your audience engaged for hours and use them in so many different ways.

Besides just selling your online courses, you can use for group coaching, membership sites, additional training, and virtual summits. Webinars allow you to get your audience to take action and have some small micro-wins of their own.
