Who Is John Lee Dumas?
His podcast was launched on September 22nd, 2012 and delivers unbelievable content for his audience with every episode. Since then, he’s release more than 2,000 episodes that are meant to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs (known as “Fire Nation”).
His insane hustle has gained the attention of Gary Vee, Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, and so many other titans in the industry. Not only does his show and brand continue to grow, but his income does as well.
JLD routinely earns $100,000+ per month from his online business and has generated over $17,000,000 since launching his brand. Yes, 17 million dollars in revenue!
He openly shares his income reports with his audience to build trust and inspire them to start an online business. Some of his biggest income streams are online courses (which he sells using webinars), sponsorships, and affiliate revenue.
John’s success isn’t by accident, he shows up on his social media channels and podcast. As you can tell, he puts in the work to earn $100,000-$200,000 per month.
JLD’s Keys to Success
So how does John routinely earn $100,000+ in revenue per month?
According to his income reports from 2019, he earned over $2,000,000 in revenue with four primary income streams. Here’s a quick overview of each of them.
1. EOFire Podcast Sponsorships
According to JLD, roughly 40% of his revenue comes from podcast sponsorships. These come from paying advertisers that have commercials on the show, advertising to his email list, and guests paying to get on the show.
2. Online Courses
His second stream of income, and one that’s found a ton of success with, are his digital courses which provide roughly 20% of his revenue.
So what is he selling?
Over the years, JLD has sold several online training programs but now his bread and butter is “Podcasters Paradise.” This is a hybrid digital product that is part online course and part membership.
For Podcasters Paradise, he has two different pricing options available including a $97 monthly subscription or $997 for an annual plan. This course is all about starting, growing, and monetizing a podcast.

3. Affiliate Revenue
The third income stream is through affiliate marketing which also represents around 20% of his revenue. His affiliate revenue comes from Amazon, guests on the podcast, and big promotions like KBB (Knowledge Broker Blueprint).
John recently shared that he was a top affiliate for KBB (which did one of the biggest launches ever) and used his podcast plus large social media following to promote. This landed him a mastermind week with Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, and other affiliates in Fiji!
4. Mastery Journals
The final stream of income comes from his three different, custom-made journals. He offers his audience the Freedom Journal, Mastery Journal, and Podcast Journal. Together, these three physical products represent the final 20% of his revenue.
His journals are around $20 each and are sold on his website and Amazon (where it’s a top-rated product).
How JLD Uses Webinars
Now that you have a better understanding of JLD and monthly income streams, let’s focus on his online courses. Specifically, how he uses both live and automated webinars to sell his online programs.
As he said in an interview on Webinar Lab, “EasyWebinar is responsible for IGNITING my online training which led to 7-figures in sales and growing every day.”
Before starting with webinars in 2013, John did what all good entrepreneurs do, polled his audience to find the biggest pain points. He found the number one thing they wanted was to learn how to build, launch, and monetize a podcast. So he designed “Podcasters Paradise” to give them a solution to their problem with a valuable online course.
After John set up EasyWebinar in 2013, he made $16,000 in one week running his first webinar. He added an additional $7,000 from the follow-up sequences and ended up making nearly $23,000 in sales on his first launch!

As John delivers podcasts five times per week, this fits perfectly with his webinar schedule. After his initial launch, he did one live podcast each week to get his audience to learn about his product after delivering a ton of free content.
In his sales webinars, his first 60 minutes were all about delivering as much value as possible. He taught viewers a lot of what they needed to get started with podcasting so even if they didn’t buy, attending was still worth it for them. During his webinars, he teaches attendees the equipment to use, how to get started and other best practices.
After he gained the trust of viewers, he showed credibility and was able to pitch his epic online program. Each webinar had between 100-200 people per week, which was entirely organic traffic.
Of those 100-200 people, his conversion rate was 35%!

John does this by sharing his screen and going behind the scenes of his course with webinar attendees. Once he pitched the product, he then takes attendees behind the scenes to get a preview of the course before they bought anything.
This is an amazing way to show viewers what they can expect and give them a preview of what it’d be like to join the course. Teasing your audience like this builds more excitement around your brand and product.
