How to 10X Your Evergreen Webinar Results with Power Webinars
I love automated webinars.
They allow you to leverage the power of webinars without trading your time to run them live every single day. Not to mention, once you have a high-converting webinar funnel, you can drastically scale your business with paid ads.
Converting live webinars into automated events helped me turn my struggling YouTube online course into thriving online business in 2012. Now that I’ve started EasyWebinar, I see automation work for tons of our users (like John Lee Dumas) as well.
But today, I want to talk about a new term I’ve coined – POWER webinars. You might be thinking what is that!?
I like to think of power webinars as automated webinars on steroids. While we talk about automation a lot, I want to take it a few steps further today. In this post, I’ll teach you how to make evergreen webinars even more effective using some of our more advanced features.
The Differences Between Automated Webinar vs. Power Webinar
Before we get into how to turn an automated webinar into a power webinar, let’s first start by differentiating the two. First off, power webinars have a lot in common with both live and automated.
Let’s start with the similarities between the two, both of them have:
- Registration page
- Thank you page
- Countdown page
- Event page
- Replay page
- One time event scheduled
- Recurring events
- Before webinar notification emails
- After webinar notification emails

But there are some key differences in creating power webinars. Unlike most webinar providers, we allow a ton of customization to help you create a unique experience for your attendees. This can turn your automated evergreen webinar into a power webinar!
Advanced Integration Fields
One perk of EasyWebinar is the ability to customize pretty much everything inside your webinar without being a tech wizard. One of those advanced features is the integration fields that you easily add to your webinar.
Inside your EasyWebinar dashboard, go to “Event Integration” from the top menu to take a look. First off, we integrate with tons of email marketing platforms such as Convertkit, Aweber, Infusionsoft, and more. Once connected to your email marketing provider, you have all sorts of ability to tag your webinars so you can understand how each attendee moves through your funnel.
Inside this advanced integration, you can tag users with:
- Registered
- Came to webinar
- Watched full
- Did not come to webinar
- Left early
- Watched replay
- Asked a question
Plus, you can use the advanced settings to customize your webinar join link, replay link, phone number, and more. This gives you total control over your fields to create the best experience for attendees.
Ultimately, these advanced fields can help you learn more about your attendees and their webinar experience to keep tweaking and updating as needed.
Custom Replay Page
With EasyWebinar, it’s easy to send users a replay of your live or automated webinar. If you want to do this, simply click on the webinar replay link from your dashboard for a specific event and send it to your audience in the post webinar email follow-up sequence.
Or, you can go customize this replay page a ton using some of our amazing features. Simply go to the “Replay Page” inside your specific webinar to get started. From there, you can tweak all sorts of features including:
- Replay page headline.
- Replay page sub-headline.
- Add a replay description with text, images, and video.
- Add a video URL or choose from a previous webinar session.
But that’s not all you can do. If you want even more customization you can update your replay page even more and convert it into a power webinar. With EasyWebinar, you can:
- Enable new offers during the replay (with countdown timers).
- Tag people who clicked on specific offers.
- Enable polls with multiple response options at several times throughout the webinar.
- Add a chat box that syncs with Facebook, Twitter, or a third party app (or disable entirely).
- Completely customize the theme using CSS if someone on your team if you’d like. This will give you 100% customizations on colors, layout, and more.
Custom Fields
Another awesome power webinar hack is the ability to use custom fields within EasyWebinar (regardless of which plan you’re on). Simply go to the “Registration Page” at the top of the menu and select “Custom Fields.”
From there, you can add custom fields like phone number and skype. You can also opt to make these fields required or optional for attendees. These features will help you increase attendance rates by reminding attendees of your upcoming event.
If you want even more custom fields, upgrade to our Enterprise account to unlock:
- Hubspot integration
- 2,000 live attendees
- SalesForce Pardot integration
- Dedicated concierge account rep
And more features to go from evergreen to power webinar quickly!
Advanced Scheduling Options
One of the biggest factors in creating a power webinar is getting more people to attend your webinar. You can have the best registration page rates in the world but if no one attends, none of this works. Luckily, with EasyWebinar, we make it easy to send out several pre-webinar reminders.
But you can also choose from different scheduling options to increase the odds of attendees showing up to your event. Unlike a lot of other webinar platforms, you can:
- Enable “Just in Time” webinars. This syncs with the attendees local time zone and presents an automated webinar in the next 15 minutes.
- Split date and time features. This allows you to split the date and time into two different boxes.
- Enable instant replay. When you toggle this button, attendees will get the replay immediately sent to them after the webinar is over.
- Block days. Finally, you can block days before a user can attend your webinar. For example, if you want to send them a few emails to build trust before the webinar, you can enable this feature up to 5 days out.
How to Scale With Power Webinars
As you can tell, there is a ton of customization that you can with our webinar platform. If this feels overly complicated, don’t worry it’s actually not that hard at all. Once you familiarize yourself with the dashboard, it’s easy to tweak your customizations as you become more accustomed to the platform.
While all the features of EasyWebinar separate us from so many competitors, I can’t forget to mention some important webinar strategies as well.
When you use these few suggestions and power webinars together, you will create a revenue producing machine. Here are some of my biggest tips to keep scaling your webinars.
Strategy is Everything
Everything starts with strategy and getting clear about your goals. As Steve Maraboli said, “It’s a lack of clarity that creates chaos and frustration. Those emotions are poison to any living goal.”
To help you find more clarity on your goals, ask yourself questions like:
- What are my short, middle, and long term revenue goals?
- What do I need to do to set myself up to achieve my goals?
- Who do I need to be as an entrepreneur to achieve my revenue goals?
- What’s worked thus far in my business? What needs improving?
- Who can I partner with to learn from or work with to hit my revenue goals?
Once you get clear on where you are and what you want, you can reverse engineer the goals to make it happen. This isn’t a one-time event either. The most successful entrepreneurs that I know and work with in masterminds are constantly evaluating where they are and they want to create.
Steal this hack from 7-figure entrepreneurs by constantly assessing yourself and your goals. Schedule regular checkpoints every week, month, and quarter to stay on top of your progress and correct course if needed.
Use Customizations
At this point in 2020, people are no strangers to attending webinars. A lot of people know what to expect which makes it more important than ever to make it unlike most webinars they’ve been through. But that doesn’t mean webinars are dead… quite the opposite in fact. It just means that you need to make the experience even better and match your audience sophistication.
Customizations are one way to do that and enhance your strategy. This automatically shows attendees that you go above and beyond with your webinar experience and is likely a great reflection of you and your brand and products/services that you offer.
Let me preface by saying you don’t need to use every single customization starting tomorrow after reading this post. Instead, start tweaking fields and using new features to create a better experience for attendees over time. This way, you don’t get overwhelmed with the process and can test what yields to higher conversions in your webinars.
Focus on Messaging
Despite having all the features inside our easy-to-use platform, one thing I can’t stress enough is your messaging. You can create a beautiful slide deck, deliver epic content, and pitch a great product but if your messaging is off, you won’t see the type of results you probably want from webinars.
Messaging is everything!
Seriously, the more that attendees think to themselves, “Wow he/she seems to be in my head” during your webinar, the more likely they are to buy when you present an offer. People want to buy programs and offers from people that they think can help them get from where they are to where they want to be.
You are their tour guide getting them from point A to point B. But they won’t sign up if you aren’t speaking their language. This is why it’s so important to know your ideal customer avatar and speak directly to them during your presentation and in all of your related marketing.
Some ways to learn the exact messaging (both what they’re saying out loud and what they’re saying internally), use these tips:
- Send out surveys to your email lists.
- Poll audience using Instagram stories.
- When people sign to your list have them reply with their #1 goal and #1 obstacle they’re facing.
- Get on the phone with your audience without any agenda and ask them what they’re struggling with and what their goals are.
The better you know your audience, the easier it is to write copy, produce effective webinars, and increase your sales.
Know Your Numbers
Finally, to scale your power webinars, don’t forget to study your numbers relentlessly. As Peter Drucker said, “You can’t manage what you don’t measure.”
As I mentioned in the point of strategy, webinars are nothing more than a machine to sell your product or service. But if you don’t know your numbers (like registration rate, attendance rate, etc.) you won’t know how to scale your webinars. This is something I see so many beginner webinar users struggle with and want to help you avoid it.
A lot of times I see people set a goal like having a $10,000 launch, but they don’t know the numbers they need to generate 10K of revenue. Let’s use an example to better illustrate achieving your webinar launch.
Webinar Launch Example
Product: Online course that costs $497
Revenue Goal: $8,000 in course sales
Number of Sales Needed: 16 units sold
For this example, let’s assume you have done this launch previously and have some data to help you reverse engineer your goal. Let’s use these results from your past webinar:
- Registration Page Conversion Rate: 40%
- Attendance Page Conversion Rate: 30%
- Webinar Conversion Rate: 13%
To get to $8,000 in revenue, that means that you would need:
- 1000 people to visit your landing page.
- 400 registered attendees (40% registration page).
- 120 attendees show up to the webinar (30% attendance rate).
- 16 people to convert (during and after webinar).
That means you need to get 1000 people to your registration page! Focus all of your time on getting people to it via paid ads, social media, email marketing, and more. Then, once your launch is over you can run the numbers and see what went well and what didn’t for future promotions.
Final Thoughts
Hopefully, you now have a better understanding of how to use all the features inside EasyWebinar to turn your evergreen funnel into a power webinar. Remember, people are more savvy than ever, you can’t just run a boring webinar and expect amazing results.
You need to create a world-class offer, nail your messaging, and use the features above to create a power webinar. This way you can turn an okay evergreen webinar into a high performance revenue machine in your business.
Finally, don’t forget to know your numbers. The more you study them, the easier it will be to scale once you have a winning webinar.
