But I’m here to tell you that now is the time to launch. Webinars can help you grow your business in so many ways but you have to start. Even if you’re worried about getting in front of the camera or not having perfect slides, you need to just launch.
As you take action, you can learn more advanced techniques to make more sales and increase conversions. If you aren’t running webinars, you are missing out on impact and income.
Watch this video and read the post to learn how to start a webinar, even if you’re a beginner:
How to Start a Webinar Fast
Here are the best ways to launch your first webinar, even if you have no experience.
Give Up on Perfectionism
If you want to learn how to start a webinar, it’s time to give up trying to be perfect! I see so many entrepreneurs procrastinate and never launch because they are waiting for the perfect time. Or they don’t feel ready, or their slides aren’t ready.
Let me tell you, perfectionism in business doesn’t exist. I’ve personally done “less than perfect webinars” and still made tons of sales. I’ve also seen this with other Easy Webinar clients as well. I loved this quote about perfectionism:
“Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people. It will keep you cramped and insane your whole life.” – Anne Lamott
The most successful people that we work with like Amy Porterfield, John Lee Dumas, Tanya Aliza, and others, focus on sharing a message. They aren’t concerned with perfection in the beginning.
Instead of worrying about the perfect webinar, work on getting your webinar up and running. If you wait until it’s perfect, you will never do it. And if you never run a webinar, you will lose out on tons of money and also won’t impact nearly as many people.
Take Imperfect Action
So how do you give up on perfection? By taking imperfect action! As Richie Norton said, “Perfectionism is a disease. Procrastination is a disease. Action is the cure.”
Action will bring clarity. By testing a webinar or several different types of webinars, you can get so much valuable data. Plus, you will get experience running your first webinar.
You might realize that you need to make a better slide deck, hire a Facebook ads person, run an automated webinar or something else. But none of this will happen if you don’t take imperfect action and just start.
Don’t Worry About the Results
Another reason people don’t launch webinars or procrastinate so much is that they have too big of launch goals. I see so many people who have ambitious goals and want to make tons of money on their first webinar. While I love the ambition, sometimes these lofty goals can actually hold people back.
Instead, focus on creating the best webinar you can. Don’t worry about sales during the first few webinars.
Instead, use it as a learning experience more than anything else. If you get any sales, consider it a huge bonus.
As you get more advanced with webinars, you can learn how to set launch goals and how to improve your conversions. But in the beginning, focus on creating more than anything else.
Remove The Pressure
The fourth way to start a webinar is to take away the pressure. Maybe you’re someone who doesn’t want to get in front of the camera or has a fear of public speaking.
To help you get rid of this fear, log into Easy Webinar, go live, and get in front of the camera. Get comfortable and as it feels more familiar, start to invite people into your event.
Focus on Providing Tons of Value
Once you get people into your webinar, focus on them, not you! Even if you are nervous or scared of running your first webinar, focus on providing tons of value.
You don’t even need to create slides if you don’t want too yet. You can start by sharing free content that will help your target market.
My biggest piece of advice here is to not put pressure on yourself to sell during the first few webinars. Selling adds an extra layer of pressure and might get in the way of providing value to your audience.
In my own webinar journey, I never sold anything during the first ten webinars. All I did was focus on teaching lessons about Youtube (as that was my first-course topic) and get comfortable with webinars.
People began to realize my value and were beginning to pay me. This is when I began to realize the power of webinars.
Plus, with Easy Webinar, we make it easy to push these free webinars to Facebook and Youtube. These videos will help get your name out there and become an expert in your niche.
With more experience, you can then start testing out offers, creating new slide decks, and running webinars more frequently. If you’re not ready for this yet, don’t rush the process. Keep it simple and focus on helping your audience.

How to Start a Webinar Summary
Remember, everyone starts somewhere. If you want to finally start a webinar, give up on being perfect.
Instead, shoot for 70% “perfect,” start creating, and get your webinar out into the world. The most successful clients we work with and the most successful entrepreneurs I know all focus on action over procrastination.
By taking consistent action, you can learn what’s working and what’s not working. Plus, you will build your email list, learn from attendees, and probably make some initial sales.
But the biggest reason to start a webinar is to impact more lives. If you have a product or service that can help people solve a problem, it’s up to you to share your message. By procrastinating and not running webinars, you are doing a massive disservice to the world.
