Let me ask, are you investing in yourself? Are you regularly trying to evolve and grow as a person, not just your business?

In my own experience, I’ve seen that personal and business growth go hand in hand. When I’m not growing, my business seems to stall. On the other hand, when I’m investing in myself, going to masterminds and learning new marketing tricks, my business tends to thrive. 

I don’t think this is confidence either. After working side by side with 6 and 7-figure entrepreneurs, I know this a common trait of highly successful people. So if you want to start upgrading your business, start by upgrading yourself as well.

Public Speaking Coaching 

Did you know that Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor, wouldn’t be the Warren Buffet that we know today without public speaking? That’s right, Warren Buffett once said, “My public speaking course was arguably the best investment I made in my life.” 

As you can imagine, you might benefit from a public speaking coach or course as well. I mean, you are speaking in front of attendees after all. Plus, the larger your audience grows, the more people will attend your events!

The second way to invest in your webinar skills is to do plenty of market research.

Instead, you want to adequately spend time getting to know your audience. Start asking yourself, what do people really want to know?

Or, you can also hire someone or an outside consultant to do some extra research for you. That way, you can stay in your zone of genius and learn from the results they gather to create an effective webinar. 

If you aren’t able to outsource this type of thing yet, start with the audience you already have. Regardless of list or follower size, you can begin to learn a ton from the people already in your ecosystem.

As I mentioned before, becoming better at webinars is more than just investing in your business. You need to keep upgrading your mind so that you show up better for your webinars and your business. One of the best ways to do this reading books about selling, psychology, and persuasion.

The more you understand buying behavior and how to keep people’s attention on webinars, the more likely you are to grow your business.

Webcam

For backgrounds, I suggest going with the “Less is more” theme. The more clutter you have in your background, the more likely you are to distract your audience. When distracted, they won’t pay as much attention to you and your content, which will likely lead to fewer sales.

Instead, go with an empty wall, a few small decorations, and no bright colors. Also, you can always buy wallpaper backdrops like this one. 

Remember, less is more for your background!
